O novo álbum do sambista brasileiro Martinho da Vila, «Brasilatinidade», inclui uma parceria com a fadista portuguesa Kátia Guerreiro. A parceria entre os dois artistas mistura o samba brasileiro com a chula portuguesa, ritmo parecido com o xote brasileiro.
O novo CD inclui igualmente parcerias com a espanhola Rosário Flores e com a italiana Mafalda Minozzi. «Tenho viajado muito e descoberto que o samba é adoptado na Europa e casa perfeitamente com outros ritmos», afirmou o cantor em entrevista à revista Época.
A principal canção do álbum, «Feitiço na Vila», foi gravada novamente a pedido da autora de novelas Glória Perez, e será incluída na banda sonora da novela «América», da Rede Globo de Televisão.
Martinho da Vila acredita que o samba brasileiro vive actualmente uma «óptima fase, inclusive sendo admirado por outras correntes da música».
