Im Jahresrhythmus legt Tiempo Libre aus Miami bereits die dritte Produktion hin.
Ob man, wie der Titel der CD (Lo Que Esperadas) aussagt, genau auf diese Musik gewartet hat, hängt vom persönlichen Musikgeschmack ab: Tiempo Libre ist Hard-core Timba und zwar meist im Vollgastempo. Das wird vor allem der Grund sein, wieso man Tiempo Libre nicht oft hört in Salsatheken, ein grosser Teil der Songs hat über 110 bpm, da muss man schon ziemlich geübt sein in Salsa Cubana und Despelote.
Hat sich das Ohr erst einmal daran gewöhnt, das der Föhn auf Stufe fünf läuft, fährt die Musik vom Kopf direkt in die Beine.
Von den zehn Titeln sind fünf wirklich gute Timbanummern, aber wie bereits erwähnt allesamt schnell.
Bei Tiempo Libre steht die Son-Grundlage sehr im Hintergrund, dafür dominieren ein knackig-funkiger Bass, satte Bläser, Rap- und Hiphop-Einlagen.

«Lo Que Esperabas» empfiehlt sich, wenn es wieder mal so richtig krachen soll, man die eigene Kondition auf den Prüfstein legen will und es einen nicht stört, dass es ein wenig amerikanisch (Miami) tönt.
