El Ano Del Gato bietet Salsa einmal nicht hoffnungslos überfrachtet und mit ausgewogener Balance zwischen Instrumenten und Vocals. Unaufgeregt, nicht reißerisch und auch für an Pop gewöhnte Ohren leicht eingänglich, auch wenn das für manch einen Salsa Puristen eher ein negatives Urteil sein dürfte. Das Latin-Feeling kommt sozusagen durch die Hintertür ins Herz, aber es kommt. Übrigens ist die Musik auch gut tanzbar.
