The title included, “Cite Tango (A. Piazzolla)” has been edited in a quite cheeky way, that made us curious. You have to listen to what bandoneon, percussion, violin and 2 Synthesizer did (in a respectful way) to Astor.

Reviews

  Review : DJ Santiago Steele

Think tango meets break-beat/drum & bass.

For some reason, every conceivable genre, from Yo Yo Ma to Grace Jones, that tries to 'do' tango picks Piazzolla's arguably commercial-sounding 'Libertango' as their starting point, and techno seems to be no different.

Although new work is always welcome, this CD sounds like it was put together at home on a synthesizer, giving it a certain 'musacky' quality, and most of it is just plain b-a-d. Give it a listen and decide for yourself.

Best tracks: 'Libertango' and 'Santa Maria del Buen Ayre'

  Review : Jonas Luell

Kann mich meinem Vorredner nur anschliessen, was das "plain b-a-d" anbelangt. Kann dementsprechend die hohe Bewertung aber nicht verstehen.
Immerhin, es gibt noch bedeutend Schlimmeres.
Try again.
