14.04.2011: 12 new tango albums
There are twelve new albums with exciting music from our Tango
Classics series. Here they are:
1. Alberto Castillo: Flor de fango

Brilliant recordings with Osvaldo Requena's orchestra from 1960.
Rythmic variety with tango, milonga, two candombes and two waltzes. A
pleasure to dance to and to listen to - not just for tango fans. Some
of the titles are known from recordings from Castillo with Tanturi's
orchestra. This is the alternative!
Tita Merello on two albums

The powerful voice of Tita Merello also offers great listening and
dancing pleasure. In some of the recordings on both of these albums I
can only say - wow! Never heard anything like it!
Lucio Demare on two albums
4. "Rosa peregrina" are tangos, waltzes and one milonga for solo
piano.

5. On "Luna" you can find recordings with Tania, Armando Garrido and
the orginal recording of "Tal vez será mi alcohol" from May 1943! Even
before Raul Beron begins to sing, the whole orchestra sounds a little
bit tipsy. The songtext didn't make it through the radio censure of
those days and had to be re-recorded in September of the same year, in
order to be released at all. Again, the last recording on this
album is the orginal version. It's the last song before everyone
passes out! Definitely give it a listen...

The following albums aren't less interesting, though no words occur to
me now to describe them. In the end, its the music that matters ;-)
