Dear friends of Tango Argentino!
The whole world is infected by the fascination for the Argentinian Tango. The love for the music and the dance is not restricted to Argentina, but draws people from every continent to the milongas in order to perceive this unique mixture of melancholy and joy which produces the Tango. So it is not surprising at all, that more and more international musicians work on their very personal interpretations of Tango. The musicians of the Cuarteto Alpachirú, for example, are from Germany, Palestine, Chile and Romania. Martin Gehrke (accordion), Ezzat Nashashibi (piano, arrangements), Manuel Fuenzalida-Padilla (guitarre) und Vasile Darnea (violin) have created an extremely charming debut called "Pelirrojo". They interpret clasical tango pieces from the Golden Era and also titles by Piazzolla. The two compositions by the quartet itself are worth mentioning, too: "Vals diciembre" and "Pelirrojo". This instrumental CD is suitable for dancing as well as for listening. Keep the name in mind!
