1. Tango Fusion Club Vol. 2 - Electronic Tango Flavoured Beats
Sonja Aminsen and team from Munich have stopped keeping quiet and they
present their new edition of Tango Fusion Clubs exclusively with DyM. This
is not really something for Tango purists, although many followers of
traditional Tango music are also interested in the electronic area. What I am
aiming at - you don't necessarily have to be a Tango fan in order to enjoy this
CD. Mostly, Tango is a trace element here, but it is clearly there and it is a
constant ingredient. If you are into electronic Tango, this is the new CD for
you! Make up your own mind:
Tango Fusion Club Vol. 2 - Electronic Tango Flavoured Beats
2. Stefan Langenberg “Squeezed”
Again, a Tango CD by the label DyM. Recently, this does not happen a lot, so
there has to be a really special project behind it. Also in this case, Tango is the
basic element for the fusion with other musical genres. Jörg Buntenbach
writes in the current “Tangodanza”:
“There is a lot to be discovered in Tango. Stephan Langenberg produces
proof of it with his new CD. With his accordion, to be precise. Langenberg
squeezes some surprising sounds out of his "squeeze box". But the term
"squeeze" should be rather understood in association with a deep embrace,
because the musician almost celebrates the play with his instrument. And there
can be also recognized a certain comical factor. ...
Certainly, "Squeezed" is not a classical Tango album for the Milonga, but the
CD demonstrates, that music is boundless and it surprises us playfully,
dreamily and rapturously with its interpretation of Tango music. One can
absolutely call "Squeezed" innovative.”
The complete German text from “Tangodanza” can be found as an "Opinion"
with the CD. There, you are free to write your own opinion about this or
other CDs:
