1. The latest Gotan Project CD: "Tango 3.0"
Finally! Along the same lines of the two earlier albums, "Tango 3.0"
offers us the expected high-level mixture of tango and electronica,
in which genre we were first schooled 10 years ago by Gotan Project.
Unmistakably Gotan with many new elements.
Gotan Project, Tango 3.0
2. German Electrotango: etango
Etango's "Una Hora con la Realidad" is the debut album of a new, German
electrotango group, which derives inspiration from various
predecessors (including Gotan Project) but manages to develop its
sources uniquely.
Etango, Una Hora con la Realidad
3. Las Sombras debut album: "Tango Cafe"
Neither electrotango nor entirely traditional but wow! a really great
new combo with an instrumention which reminds us of the beginnings of
tango (flute!) and at the same time lets us imagine its future: flute,
guitar, bass, percussion, vibraphone, saxophone and more come together
in many beautiful and well-played arrangements.
Las Sombras, Tango Cafe
4. Quinteto Angel: "Final de Fiesta"
The third CD from this worldwide celebrated German ensemble.
Well-known for their virtuosity and intensity and for their strong
contemporary interpretations of traditional tangos, Quinteto Angel
appears on this CD to not only maintain the high quality of their
playing but to also increase it.
Quinteto Angel, Final de Fiesta
5. Ricardo y Rotraut: Vals DVD
The fifth and last instructional DVD in the series from Ricardo and
Rotraut. As with their other DVDs we are competently introduced to
solid, interesting figures, this time for the tango waltz. In eight
languages!: Español, Deutsch, Italiano, Türkçe, English, Français,
Portugues, Polski.
