DYM - Tangonews 19th of March
Dear friends of Tango Argentino!
Apart from the classical instrumental tango, one of our other fields of
interest is discovering the “slightly different” tango releases for you. There
are 4 new discoveries today and we are happy to present 2 new releases
from the genre “Songwriter Tango” and 2 from the genre “Electro Tango”:
LIDIA BORDA - Tal Vez Será Su Voz
The title (a classic piece by Lucio Demare) already indicates that the voice
or so to speak the singing is the main topic of this CD.
Luis Borda’s sister has invited the wonderful musicians of the Orquesta EL
ARRANQUE and especially the pianist Diego Schissi for the recording
sessions, and she enchants her audience with her voice and smart
arrangements:

LA CHICANA - Tango Agazapado
The following CD is also dominated by a female voice. Dolores Solá,
named Lola,
knows how to direct her musicians at any time and she also controls other
stylistic devices apart from the tango, that come quite close to tango but are
not quite the same but they somehow fit. Check out for yourself what the
Chicana wants to say. Ramiro Gallo supports with the vilolin:

TANGHETTO - Emigrante (Electrotango)
The trio from Buenos Aires calls one of their tracks “Alexanderplatz
Tango”, and has thus realised the signs of the times that allow the
European dance-electro-elements to guide the Tango Argentino into a
successful future.
The arrangements of this CD are mature and it is by far the most clever
Tango Nuevo CD at the moment.

ULTRATANGO - “Astor”nautas
We would have almost missed out on this new tango sextett if there
wouldn’t have been the compilation “Abrazos-Tango En Buenos Aires”:

The title included, “Cite Tango (A. Piazzolla)” has been edited in a quite
cheeky way, that made us curious. You have to listen to what bandoneon,
percussion, violin and 2 Synthesizer did (in a respectful way) to Astor:
