Again we are glad presenting some new releases, that had recently been issued in Miami.
This time not only SALSA, but all different kinds of latin music. We are going to start with :

Yes, it’s true. This is indeed the new CD from Juan Luis Guerra & 4 40 !!! Since almost 6 years and his last release “Ni Es Lo Mismo Ni Es Igual” his music nowadays did not change much. HAPPY RELIEF !!! His songs are still breathing the famous Merengue-Rythym and his poetic textures.
The atmosphere strengthed by harmonic vocals and different wind sections (Trumpet, trombone, saxophone) easily cast a spell on the listener. Let yourself bewitched:

With this new CD Gilberto Santa Rosa is giving an insight into his musical personality. From modern types (Songs by KLIMAX, Amaury Gutierrez) over romantic style (Songs by Victor Manuelle, Pedro Flores) to traditional Salsa (Songs by Adalberto Alvarez, Miguel A. Diaz).
Furthermore this CD comes along with a DVD containing the video-hit “Sombra Loca” and an interview with Gilberto Santa Rosa. This way please, to get to know him better:

CARLOS VIVES - El Rock De Mi Pueblo
Similar to what Juan Luis Guerra means to the carribbean music, Carlos Vives is a national hero of the columbian folk music.
Again his music introduces all kind of columbian influences (especially the accordeon).
His guitar playing of course is latin rock, but vallenato-, cumbia-, son- and porro-rhythms are assimilating in his songs as well. For Carlos Vives himself this CD means “EL ROCK DE MI PUEBLO ES LA MUSICA DE TODOS, PARA TODOS”:
