In the beginning you will hardly get accustomed to this new CD, due to its’ simplicity, but this one for sure is a “grower”. After a while you will get caught in this captivating atmosphere and cannot wait to push the repeat-button again.
The few Tango-Rhythms of the last CD “Sur O No Sur”

had given way to leisurely sprouting songs, thats’ magic always developed thru Johansens’ voice.
A pleasing sonorously pitch of his voice is giving facility to this CD, that’s often missing in other production.

Last years’ CD “Emigrante” was one of our favorites in Tango-Nuevo

so all marks were set very high for the 2. CD of TANGHETTO, and this bar could only be cleared with something new and kind of different.
TANGHETTO succeeded with “Hybrid Tango”.
It’s not completely different but perfectly combines Tango-Electronic with Candombe, Flamenco, Bossa Nova and other Latin-Rhythms. And again this one is an early highlight of 2005.

With producer Ramiro Gallo (his CD “Florece” was one of our Tango-Highlights 2003)

the ORQUESTA EL ARRANQUE and their “Maestros” : Raul Garello, Mauricio Marcelli, Julio Pane & Nestor Marconi indeed herewith presenting their “masterpiece”. Their recent CDs were always impressing due to its link to tango-classico and the proficiency of each orchesta-member. Sovereignty, catchy arrangements are only growing on this new CD. You can easily imagine their joy of playing together those classic tangos, while listening.

Maybe the best “El Arranque” since !!??
