Tango is not only music to listen or to dance to. Tango is a way to leave isolation for more and more people and a way for them to change their lives. The power of this particular music is a topic for many people who also address “tango” from a literary point-of-view. There are more and more poems, narrations and novels dealing with tango.
The new series “Tango y Literatura” wants to discover literary gems concerning the topic. The first step are the short narrations by Sonia Abadi, which will be published by the small publishing house “Abrazos Books” in Stuttgart/ Germany. We are delighted to be able to present 4 of the narrations in the booklet of the three-piece-digipack. The observations Abadi makes on the dancefloors of Buenos Aires mirror analytically the phenomenon tango, she writes in a most entertaining and exciting way, and the texts will not only attract tango fans. But for real tango fans, this CD and the booklet with the texts by Abadi is a must! For our English-speaking customers: Abadi’s text are presented in Spanish and in German, but even if you do not know these languages you can still enjoy the 19 wonderful instrumental tracks by Carlos di Sarli, who is still one of the favourite tango interprets for many tango dancers.
