Haila: Haila Live Haila Mompie is the former singer of the Cuban Band “Bamboleo”. With her old band, she mainly performed Salsa and Timba. On her new live recording, she demonstrates that she is also familiar with more historic Cuban music. She sings classic pieces like “Bemba Colorá”, “Sobre una tumba und rumba”, and “Qué te pedí”, but also a Bamboleo hit “Yo no me parezco a nadie”. Haila is often compared to Celia Cruz, because of her powerful voice and her charisma.
