It’s called “Martina” and fans of world music have already been waiting desperately for the release. The African musicians play first class salsa. Of course, the music genre Salsa would not have been possible without the influence of African instruments, rhythms and musicians. Thus, it is not surprising that musicians have been inspired by each other on both sides of the ocean. The CD, which brought Africando worldwide reputation was definitely “Betece” (2000). But some songs from older recordings had already become classic pieces, like “Aicha” oder “Yay Boy”. Not all of the tracks on this new recording are written in Spanish, but you will enjoy the CD all the same. It is a wonderfully danceable, charming CD, which we can highly recommend.
