Dear friends of Caribbean music and culture!

This is a small newsletter in between with information for Cuba travellers and percussion fans:

Ruy López - Nussa Lekszycki, our percussion teacher in Havana, is currently in Europe. With his group “Temperamento” he is the support act for Ibrahim Ferrer of the Buena Vista Socail Club. The audience is surprised by the fact that a Latin Jazz formation plays in order to warm up for Ibrahim, but then they really get into the Latin swing. After stops in Zurich, Munich, Graz and Franfurt they play in Paris today, May 17th.

Afterwards, there are two more concerts in Great Britain:

30.05. in Newcastle (City Hall) and 31.05. in London (Royal Albert Hall)

And some news for our CD customers living in Germany:

There is a new way of shipment now for our CD customers in Germany: The letter on delivery. This letter is ensured up to 25 Euro and we charge the amount of 6,50 Euro for postage. This is a considerable improvement for customers who tend to place small orders. In general, we are still not pleased at all with the shipping costs, but I don’t want to start complaining again...
